A visit from photographer Kevin Knight…

September 21st, 2009 No comments

DSCN4703

This past weekend photographer Kevin Knight came by our home to shoot us and our collection as part of a special series he’s working on featuring folks from the LA art scene in their creative spaces / home environments. He’s already shot over a dozen movers and shakers including some noteable collectors in our local area as well as other gallery owners. He’s starting to visit the studios of several prominent local artists as well. Look for all this hard work to materialize into a special show somewhere in LA soon. Once we get a few pics back from Kevin of his visit with us, I’ll be sure to post one or two here for all to check out.

Great new piece from ZOSO spotted over in Culver City the other day. Stay Real… Never Lie Down. Good advice indeed.

Opening night went off huge last Friday at Thinkspace – one of our biggest crowds in a few months for the opening of ‘Vain Remains’ from Camilla d’Errico and Caia Koopman along with new works on paper in the project room from Lilly Piri, Fumi Nakamura and Yuki Yamaguchi alongside a collection of new works from the up and coming Nathan DeYoung.

Read on for a selection of choice pics from the nights festivities. For a full collection of pics from the opening night action, check here. Pictures of all the works in the show framed and on exhibit are also included in the Flickr set.

If you missed them, we posted interviews with both Caia (here) and Camilla (here), so be sure to check those out and look for an interview to be posted here next week with Nathan DeYoung as well.
