NOMADE this Saturday at Hold Up Art

July 22nd, 2011 Comments off

NOMADE will be taking over Hold Up Art in downtown Los Angeles this Saturday. One of my favorites currently crushing the streets of LA, this is a show you will not want to miss!

"This new collection of works masterfully integrates their iconic style, social metaphor, and visual fury into a full assault of the senses redefining the gallery space with the ethos of the street. Don’s miss this pivotal show that will surely ensure Nomade a prominent place in the Los Angeles Art Scene." - Brooklyn Street Art

NOMADE 'Recent Artifacts'

Opening Reception: Sat, July 23rd 7-11PM On view July 23rd - August 18th

Allison Sommers has self-published a great lil' book of sketchbook drawings compiled from over the past year. 'FLOTSAM' is hardbound with dust jacket, 40 pages full color, and crammed with sketches, doodles, and brain-wispies from Allison that no one has ever seen. Culled from her Moleskine sketchbooks of 2010 and 2011, if you look hard, you can see the original idea-buds of paintings that she's created over the past year.

Take a sneak peek at the layout here: www.allisonsommers.com/2011/07/flotsam-sketchbooks-vol-1-.html
