‘Spread The Word’ tonight at Mark Moore Gallery in Culver City

December 17th, 2011 No comments

The big ‘Spread the Word’ auction at the Mark Moore Gallery in Culver City takes place tonight – Saturday, Dec. 17. This one-night exhibition and silent auction features unique works by over 80 contemporary artists. All proceeds from ticket sales and auction bids will benefit 826LA, a pioneering non-profit organization focused on youth literacy and writing.

Each participating artist was given a vintage pulp novel to work with — like the piece by Bumblebee above. Works from the show can be previewed here.

The evening will include a live set by KCRW’s Jason Bentley and food truck eats from Holy Aioli. Tickets can be purchased here.
