Juxtapoz just interviewed Yosuke Ueno as he prepares for the opening of ‘Elements and Oddities‘, his upcoming show with us alongside Jacub Gagnon that kicks off this coming Sat, April 30th at Thinkspace. Following up on his nearly sold-out solo show with us last year, this new series features some of Ueno’s most heartfelt work yet with several pieces greatly influenced by the recent natural disasters in his home country of Japan.
Liz Brizzimanipulates her original photography onto acrylic painted canvases, then layers each piece with washes of color resulting in strikingly original works of art. Her mixed media paintings aim to cast a light on the lost and forgotten segments of the cities in which we live.

Juxtapoz just interviewed Kelly Vivanco as part of their ‘Back Talk’ series as she gets ready for her upcoming solo show opening on Feb. 5th at Thinkspace. Vivanco is also featured in this month’s magazine (Issue No. 121 / Feb. 2011) with a ‘Profile’ piece.
“Whisking her viewers away to a land that is part dreamland and fairy tale, “Springs to Mind” looks to be a journey into the fluctuating imagination of the artist as her heroines explore and discover uncharted worlds and landscapes.”– Hi-Fructose
