ARMSROCK: new works in / AM contest / Denmark Museum show…

AMRSROCK is busing working on his ‘Zeitgeist’ installation for a group show in the Vejle Museum of Arts in Denmark. “Street Art Inspiration” features Anders Reventlov Larsen, Asger Jorn, ARMSROCK, Björn T. Hansen, Clean, Ejnar Iversen, Frodo Mikkelsen, Huskmitnavn, Oeps Crew, René Holm, and Sören Behncke.
Opening on January 24th… see above and below for some snaps of ARMSROCK’s installation progress, as well as a shot of the sketches he used to plan out this large install/mural.

The folks over at Arrested Motion will be posting a lil’ recap of ARMSROCK work on the streets of Los Angeles (see image above) in the coming days… along with a nice lil’ contest to win an autographed copy of his book that was published by the Wooster Collective, ‘All My Friends Are Made Of Paper’… so keep an eye on their killer site for details.

We also just posted a great selection of smaller works from ARMSROCK, in addition to all the great work still on hand from last month’s ‘Mostly Memory’ exhibit with ELBOW-TOE. Check out the new works from ARMSROCK here.

Keep an eye on ARMSROCK via his blog at: http://www.armsrock.blogspot.com/

Happy New Year – tomorrow’s the last day to view "Mostly Memory" + "Life Sentence"…

We’re closed today, but please know that tomorrow, Fri, Jan. 2nd from 1-6PM will be your last chance to view ‘Mostly Memory’ from ELBOW-TOE and ARMSROCK + ‘Life Sentence’ from Jon Todd @ Thinkspace

Armsrock and Elbow-Toe exceeded expectations with their two person show and made their mark on Los Angeles by ‘getting up’ all over the city. Armsrock pushed the bounds with his unrelenting portrayal of atrocity victims. The works were a gripping depiction of not so distant events which prompted viewers to pause for a moment of reflection. Elbow-Toe took his fine-art work to another level in this show. His characters were intricately rendered and flawlessly executed. The combination of his street work and fine art background were reflective in the emotional embodiment exhibited by his characters.” Arrested Motion

ELBOW-TOE’s massive masterpiece…

ELBOW-TOE
“Brother, Can you Spare A Dime?”
122″ x 80″
310cm x 203cm

Massive. Well over 250 pounds. Created in three separate parts. Over 10 feet tall total. This was an undertaking to get hung, but so worth it. Just over powering to stand in front of.

More ‘sneak peeks’ posted later today on our Flickr and here on the blog.

Digital collector preview going out this evening – hit us up at contact@sourharvest.com if you haven’t already to request the preview.
