ABOUT THINKSPACE:
Established in November of 2005, Thinkspace is a joint venture between Cannibal
Flower and Sour
Harvest and
is headed up by the husband and wife duo of Andrew and Shawn Hosner (Sour Harvest)
and L. Croskey (Cannibal Flower founder/curator), along with the invaluable
assistance of Suzette Franck, Nicole Rosen, Valentine Reitblat, Brandon Adams,
and Shahid Brown.
Thinkspace exists as a catalyst for the rapidly expanding movement that is exploding forth from the streets and art schools not only in Los Angeles, but the world over. We are here to help represent this new generation of artists, to provide them that home base and to aid them in building the right awareness and collector base necessary for long-term growth.
Thinkspace was established to help these new talents shine and to provide them a gallery setting in which to prove themselves. It is our hope and dream that through these opportunities these individuals will prosper and continue to grow to amaze us all for years to come. With the love of and for our community, and with the talents of so many incredible artists involved, we believe that this movement will provide the necessary proving ground for the ideas and dreams of today to become the foundations of a new tomorrow.
PURCHASE INFORMATION:
The original works offered on the following pages are available for sale through the gallery and can be purchased by phone or via email. The following is merely a sampling of the inventory of the gallery. Featured here is a collection of work by our artists that has been produced outside of regular exhibits or is still on hand from recent exhibitions. We strive to keep the page updated regularly, but please know it’s always best to check before sending us over any funds. We have strong relationships with the artists we work with, so please let us know if there is something in particular you have in mind from a certain artist, and we can try to help facilitate that for you.
As for payment, Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted at the gallery and you can also PayPal us via our account there (contact@sourharvest.com). We also accept wire transfers, checks and money orders. Please contact us for availability prior to sending in payment via mail though. All payments via check will be held until the check clears our bank. California residents will be required to add 8.25% for sales tax.
Please keep in mind works will usually ship out 3-4 weeks after the exhibit has been taken down. We ship most of our work out via UPS ground home delivery. Additional charges for shipping will be added for each order, so please get in touch if contacting us from out of state. Please note that these charges will include shipping materials and extra time required to safely send your order. We will ship anywhere in the world, as long as we are able to track the package to you and confirm payment before the works ship out. For more information or to inquire further about art sales, please call 323.913.3375, or shoot us an e-mail to contact@sourharvest.com. All available works in our inventory are updated regularly and are located in the ‘Available Artwork’ section. Thank you for your patronage.
Please note:
Original works of art are non-returnable. If you purchase a work, and decide, for any reason, that you have to back out, we can work with you to resell the piece through our gallery via a small commission, but please know that outright returns at the end of an exhibition, or at any other time, are just not possible.
SPECIAL PROJECTS:
Thinkspace is always looking to contribute, host or take on new projects in or outside of our space. We have curated shows at various venues including the SURU boutique on Melrose here in Hollywood as well as the DvA Gallery in Chicago, IL.
If you are a corporate sponsor interested in underwriting one of our shows or bringing a show to our area that’s touring to different cities, then please reach out to see what we may be able to work out. At the very least, we may be able to help you promote your event locally via our network of connections.
Many of the artists we work with are available for commissions and art licensing (for film, TV, advertisting, etc.), so please inquire if you have any questions in regards to that.
We also consult for large acquisitions and installations for businesses, restaurants and retail locations. We will strive to meet any creative request, and via our network of artists, odds are we can bring your concept to life – whether it be a vague idea or an elaborate vision.
SUBMISSIONS:
Thinkspace is not actively seeking submissions from new artists at this time. However, we are always interested in being exposed to new artists. So if you would like to submit artwork, please do make sure it fits our criteria. We strive to feature the best that the current movement (i.e., underground, pop surrealism, outsider, graffiti, street art, etc.) has to offer, and we are always on the lookout for artists who push the boundaries on their way to building an established audience.
If you are going to send us samples of your work, email is preferred. It is best that you simply provide us a link to your website, as attachments from email addresses not in our address book are often filtered out. If you do not have a computer as one of your resources, you can send slides or quality print outs along with a SASE. We won't return your slides or prints unless you provide a SASE.
Please know we regularly review portfolios in person on Thursdays at our gallery (except for the 2nd Thursday of each month) as well, but this is strictly on a walk-in basis. When time permits, we may get back in touch with you, but please know we do not possess the time nor the resources to provide feedback to all those that submit work to us. There are several factors in play that dictate what makes it into our exhibition schedule, so please keep that in mind. We are currently booked through 2009, so please understand that our calendar is full for the time being, but it never hurts to make contact.
Please send all submissions to: contact@sourharvest.com.
