Shawn Forever! A Celebration of Life Recap Video- February 24, 2022

Mike the Poet’s incredibly moving tribute to Shawn from this past Saturday’s celebration of her life ❤️

SHAWN MARY VEZINAW HOSNER
March 11, 1966 – February 14, 2024

We are holding the show over this week due to popular demand and so many visiting LA for #FriezeWeek. We will be open regular hours 12-6pm through Saturday. When visiting be sure to also check out Ryol’s ‘Stealing Drinks From A Drunk Rockstar,’ Paola Ciarska’s ‘Paolaverse,’ our ‘NERDstalgia’ group show, a special edited version of Danny J. Martinez’s ‘Lost & Found,’ and this Saturday the Dog House will be open again for the last day of Steve Martinez’s ‘Shuffle.’

If you would like to help, please visit our GoFundMe Link that’s been setup to help us recover from the mountain of medical bills from Shawn’s 15 month long battle against stage four metastatic breast cancer and allow us to build towards a lasting annual art award and artist fund in her name with our friends at JUXTAPOZ.

SHAWN FOREVER! Celebration of Life recap photos – February 24, 2024

Thank you to EVERYONE that came out this past Saturday to celebrate Shawn and a life lived to the fullest. The day was perfect. The sky was filled with beautiful clouds. That poem from Mike… those doves… the band… friends from all over the country flying in, a joining of her tribes.. all the memories being shared and all the love that was overflowing in our courtyard… it was just overwhelming on so many levels. In awe of the love shown, it was so special.

She was there. So many said the same thing. She will always be with all of us. She was a force. Her memory will never fade and we will all work non-stop to assure her legacy burns as brightly as she did in life.

She loved you all. She loved life. She fought to the very bitter end. She is our hero.
