Mark Ryden opened up his highly anticipated NYC solo show, “The Gay 90’s”, this past week in NYC at the Paul Kasmin Gallery in the Chelsea neighborhood. The event drew a huge crowd, with many supporters decked out in their best ‘old ’90s’ getups and even more having came in from all over the world to pay Ryden congratulations in person. To say this event was a who’s who of the new contemporary art movement would be a vast understatement, everyone and anyone was out to support.
Those on hand included the artist and his wife Marion Peck, Travis Louie, Gary Baseman, Ron English, Lola, Tara McPherson, NohJColey, Lori Early, Joshua Petker, Anthony Pontius, Camille Rose Garcia, KuKula, Paul Romano, and Damon Soule, along with several well-known major collectors as well as numerous gallery owners from around the world.
