Oakland & The Plant Dealer is a short film on artist Joel Daniel Phillips, who’s work is currently on view in The New Vanguard exhibition at the Lancaster MOAH, features the faces of those most often ignored. Influenced by his surroundings in the Bay Area, Phillips draws life-size portraits of homeless people. The short film follows him over the course of two-weeks in his studio and includes an interview with Thinkspace curator and owner Andrew Hosner.
