LA’s only monthly art walk kicks off ’09 with a series of girl-centered shows. Pharmaka’s New Mythologies presents the works of six LA-based female artists, divulging universal themes of spirituality, science, and psychology. Phantom Galleries and THE Magazine explore themes of feminine power in What’s the Matter with Mommy, the Hang-Over, a multimedia celebration of alternative icons featuring 30+ artists. Phantom’s huge adjacent space in the PE Lofts on Main & 6th hosts Lilli Muller’s four-person curatorial project, Change is the Only Constant…part 2.
