Inside the studio of Jack Shure for ‘Soul Sanitizer

What is the inspiration behind this latest body of work? What themes or techniques were you exploring?

The inspiration behind these works spawned from the creative influences of my youth. I wanted to revisit themes and nuances of the things that drove me to paint in the first place all while creating a personal narrative around the characters and symbols.

Bumblebeelovesyou Studio Visit

Bumblebeelovesyou Studio Visit - pink piece

We are here to bring you a Bumblebeelovesyou studio visit as we are all artistic voyeurs. His studio is a creative explosion of spray paint and the remnants of stencils extracted from a sharp exacto knife hang on the walls.  Bringing his colorful and nostalgia filled art work indoors to our project room June 20, the opening reception will be filled with surprises. Please join us next Saturday from 6-9pm for #WhereWeBeelong.

Nonetheless, his works manage to convey a feeling of incorruptible buoyancy; a remembrance of light in the midst of unavoidable darkness. With an investment and awareness for social and environmental themes, his images remind us of the invaluable gift of beginnings, and the shared responsibility of ensuring continuity.
