DABS MYLA were down in Tijuana last week for the ‘Tijuana Festival De La Ciudad’ where they were able to put up some walls for the locals to enjoy. Willie T and the LRG film crew were along for the trip as well, along with Tyke/Witness, so look for some awesome coverage to follow soon from the LRG crew.
Early next week the duo take off for the Moniker Art Fair in the UK. Look for more on that in the week ahead.
This Saturday the 24th September is the opening of ‘Gossip Well Told’ at the Warrington Museum in the UK. The exhibition, curated by Tina Ziegler and Frankie Shea of Moniker Projects, features work by How and Nosm, Swoon, Ben Eine, Anthony Lister, Herakut, DABS MYLA and more!
DABS MYLA are showing a collaboration that they made with Greg ‘Craola’ Simkins (shown above).
Those down in Tijuana should also keep an eye out this week as well as DABS MYLA are down there currently for a special event with the LRG Film Team in tow catching all the action (more on this to follow soon).
Next month the duo return to the UK for the Moniker Art Fair. This year the fair runs from October 13th – 16th and will be ‘highlighting the international scope of street art and beyond’…DABS MYLA will be working on an installation in one of the project booths as well exhibiting two new paintings.

The ‘Young and Free’ exhibition at 941 Geary just opened and was comprised of a dozen talented artists from Australia. The show is up until October 22nd and is a really strong representation of some of Australia’s finest, so if you are in SF you should definitely get in to the gallery and check it out!
DABS MYLA are featured in the new issue of Juxtapoz (Oct. 11 / n129) now on stands with Jeremy Fish on the cover. Within the duo have a 14-page spread where they are interviewed by ‘Art In The Streets’ curator Roger Gastman and complimented with a photo shoot by good friend Cat Cult (aka Ian Campbell). So stoked for them and well deserved after selling all 72 works featured in their recent ‘Best Of Times’ exhibit with us.
“So, a hint to all you people out there looking for the ‘next big thing.’ It’s here and there are two of them.”– Roger Gastman
Just back from rocking SF as part of the ‘Young & Free’ show at 941 Geary (where they sold all their work yet again)… the two are preparing for a museum show down in Tijuana currently (details to follow) that opens later this month and then they head over to London to rock the Moniker Fair with a big mural on the exterior and a special project booth within the fair… and then down to Miami for this year’s Primary Flight in Dec (and much more as well in the works).
“Dabs Myla’s ‘The Best of Times’ was like stepping into a twisted colorful wonderland – think that Disney version of ‘Sword in the Stone’ where the teacups and such come to life at Merlin’s… meets the psychedelic part of Dumbo… and then make it all a little less PG.”– NOTCOT.com
Thank you to all that came out and showed support for one of our strongest shows to date. DABS MYLA spent over 90 hours in our gallery last week covering almost every square inch with murals and installations and all their hard work was very well received. Well over 100 individual items and paintings were on view – at the end of the night we had sold 69 of 72 pieces with only the largest painting in the show and a couple of small installation works left. To say these two have arrived is a bit of an understatement. This show begs to be seen in person, so do yourself a favor and swing through our space if you find yourself in Culver City this month. Many thanks to Sam Graham for the amazing event photos!
