Today, Friday, January 6th and tomorrow, Saturday, January 7th are the last days to catch SANER’s In A Dream (En un Sueño) and the extensive group exhibition NEXUS at The Brand Library and Art Center. This must see show feature pieces by 64 New Contemporary artists alongside murals and installations by Bumblebeelovesyou, Cryptik, Drew Merritt, Kelly Vivanco, Lucien Shapiro and Yoskay Yamamoto.
The Brand Library and Art Center is a hidden Los Angeles treasure. The 3,200 square foot venue consists of a primary exhibition space, a 2,800 square foot Skylight Gallery, and an auxiliary space, the Atrium Gallery, 500 square feet overlooking their courtyard.
We wanted to congratulate Los Angeles-based artist Lucien Shapiro on his recent interview in American Art Collector. Those who would like to read his full interview in the magazine can visit American Art Collectors website and to see Lucien’s work in person come to the opening of NEXUS this weekend. Lucien Shapiro will be exhibiting a brand new body of work based on the grey area which includes an installation and live performance at 8pm on Saturday, November 5th.
Artist Juan Travieso, who will have a piece in the upcoming group exhibition NEXUS, is the featured artist in a cool ad for Nepresso Cuban coffee. The charming ad prominently shows Travieso work as well as his passion for coffee and culture.
