An art showcase featuring 20+ renowned artists benefitting the Children’s Law Center at the Wokcano Summer Lounge in Santa Monica

THIS SAT, July 25th 8 pm – 12 am

Los Angeles County represents one of the largest foster care systems in the nation, with over 25,000 children placed in temporary homes as a result of severe abuse, negligence, and abandonment.

In an effort to support these foster youths, Viva La Art!, in partnership with Philanthro Productions, is hosting a benefit party at the Wokcano Summer Lounge in Santa Monica on Saturday, July 25. The benefit, a silent art auction and gallery, will feature donated artworks of 20+ renowned artists. Attendees will have a chance to bid to purchase the artwork with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Children’s Law Center of Los Angeles (CLC). CLC is a non-profit legal services provider whose work extends beyond the courtroom to provide each foster child with opportunities to get involved in local art and music programs. “We are thrilled to have the support of Viva La Art!, Philanthro Productions, and the generous artists so willing to give of their time and talent. This event will help us maximize our ability to meet each child’s complex educational, health, and emotional needs. These children have so much potential; now is the time for our community to help them realize their dreams,” says Leslie Starr Heimov, Executive Director of CLC.

Contributing artists include:
Manolis Anastasakos, Stacy Aoyama, Mari Araki, Andrew Bell, Luke Chueh, Justin Diamond, Luke Feldman, Eric Fortune, Seonna Hong, Jay Horinouchi, Bobby Hundreds, Audrey Kawasaki, Christopher Lee, James Naccarato, Dave Pressler, Isabel Samaras, Michael Steele, Edwin Ushiro, Julie West, Anthony Williams, and Yoshi (MR44)

The evening will also feature music provided by celebrity DJ Casey Connor — who has DJ’ed for Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Kanye West, Madonna and many more.

Wokcano Summer Lounge is located at 1413 5th Street, Santa Monica, CA. Doors open from 8 pm – 12 am (Auction ends at 11 pm); ages 21+. $20 donation at the door.
